Pursuing your dreams is a must

Your life isn’t yours if you only care about what other people think.

A lot of times we stop doing things that bring us genuine peace and happiness all because we don’t have someone constantly giving us praise or people just love to criticize whatever you’re doing.

And I would just like to say in the words of one of my favorite youtubers, Bailey Sarian: “Na na, I say”.

Sometimes we are so afraid of doing things we love because other people are doing them and we feel like we can’t do (whatever it is) equally as good or better. We drown in our own self doubt and becoming fixated on our insecurities as if that’s the only solution to our problems.

I mean, you might have some childhood trauma that is keeping you from discovering your potential as a human being and as a professional. You might have been bullied heavily when you were younger or your family was cruel to you emotionally and you can’t seem to find a way to outgrow your insecure mindset.

As someone who still has to deal with some childhood trauma, I can assure you that you are not alone. Sometimes it’s tiring to live in your own mind and you just want an escape. I’ve been there. But think of it this way: if you had loved one -whether it be a friend, partner or family- tell you that they wanted to pursue a realistic dream but were to scared of what people would think about them, wouldn’t you reassure them that they can do it?

If the answer to that question is yes, then what makes you think that you should put yourself down and negatively judge your interests from someone else’s point of view when you don’t even want that for your loved one?

I’ve always loved to edit pictures, videos and manage social media. And even though I battle with insecurities every second of every day, one day I just got up and decided I was going to blog and create a YouTube channel. The reason that I’m saying this is because it all starts with a decision.

Once you decide to finally do what you’ve always been wanting to do despite the he-said, she-said, you end up making decisions that change your life. Wake up every morning and face your doubts and fears and dismantle them one by one.

You can find inspiration in the simplest things. For the past couple days I’ve started my mornings by watching videos from Youtubers that inspire me and that has helped me get through the day in a more positive perspective.

Set fear aside. Remember, you’ll automatically fail if you don’t even try. If you still need convincing, make a “pros and cons” list. But babe, don’t give up. This is not the last chapter in your life. There’s still so many ways in which you can grow and I think it’s essential to take advantage of every opportunity you can to evolve as a person.

People are always going to talk about what you do: sometimes out of jealousy, envy and/or insecurity. Remember, that’s their problem, not yours.

It’s important to focus on yourself and set priorities for what you want to achieve and how you want to get to that stage in your life. Remember to also take time for yourself and learn to take breaks. You can be successful and also maintain a balance.

And remember:
