I’ll be the first one to admit that lately I’ve been spending a lot more time on social media platforms than I used to. Instagram, Facebook and Twitter are my top three. However, IG has really been entertaining me the most lately with makeup tutorials, memes and uplifting posts that really help the time pass by quickly.
In today’s post I will be mentioning several Instagram accounts that have really been keeping me in good spirits and giving me good vibes. I hope you guys enjoy them as much as I like them.
- Beauty
One of my favorite pages is @lenkalul. This girl is so incredibly talented and her makeup videos are really satisfying to watch. If you’re looking for a wholesome and simple makeup account, this is definitely the one for you.
A more vibrant and diverse makeup page is @victorialyn. She’s talented as well and her feed is very colorful. She also has videos involving skin care products/routines while promoting unique products with themes you wouldn’t have even thought of! She’s used snail based products, fruits, coffee and a lot of others.
@i.an.ya.i is very similar to lenkalul’s IG page in the sense that the videos are very satisfying and the makeup is simple yet elegant. One of my favorite makeup looks is this one.
Last but not least, a beauty account that I love belongs to my dear friend, Kiara Hernandez, and it’s @kiarahernandezmua. She’s one of my closest girl friends that I’ve made in college and she’s a certified makeup artist. She does lives on this account, usually at night, to provide makeup tutorials for her viewers. Although she’s bilingual (English & Spanish), the majority of her content is in spanish.
- Inspiration
Sometimes when I just don’t want to watch things that have to do with makeup, I’ll invest time in stuff that bring out that more creative aesthetic in me which is why I also love looking at @eloise__jenkins feed. Honestly, it’s so satisfying to observe and ultimately, incredibly inspiring when it comes to graphic design and photography.
Of courseeee I have to mention one of my favorite beauty influencers: Kristin Johns. She’s probably the sweetest, most humble woman in the world and I have been prone to look up to her for inspiration. Other than the fact that she’s gorgeous, her style {in both fashion and makeup} is so pretty that it just makes me want to go shopping right at that moment lol. What most of her followers appreciate is the fact that she isn’t like most influencers in the sense that the things she buys and promotes are things that are mostly budget-friendly, making her a reliable source for you to count on when it comes to purchasing beauty products. She also posts content about plants, homemade diys, recipes and her two golden retrievers that frankly, I’d die for lol.
{Side note: unfortunately, she’s been in the hospital for the past couple of weeks because she was in a horrible bike accident and was in critical condition for a bit. But she’s been giving updates and everything’s been going ok up to now!}
Moving on to the next IG account is, funny enough, my own. No, it’s not my personal account, instead, it’s a page I created so I could share motivational quotes, phrases & doodles that have the purpose to hopefully brighten up someone’s day. It’s called @growth__journal. It’s been very entertaining to write positive things and post them so that others may feel at least a bit enlightened.
Another woman that inspires me is Vanessa {also known as Orion} Carloto, her IG being @orionvanessa. What can I say besides the fact that she’s just that bitch? Her aesthetic is unbelievable, her feed is soothing, her makeup is flawless & her addiction to coffee is relatable. Idk, just something about her makes me feel empowered yet fragile at the same time. Orion’s a poet so that explains why she gives off that vibe but yeah.
She also makes me feel a bit poor lol, but I try to ignore that feeling.
A quick mention I want to make is also the page @thegoodquote which is really just a wholesome page with inspirational/motivational quotes and phrases and I think it’s very sweet and uplifting.
And finally, {although I don’t think it could be categorized as inspiration per se} the adorable & hilariously wholesome account called @nathanwpylestrangeplanet. This page involves doodles of cute little aliens and they’re unique way of communicating. Sometimes I’ll spend half an hour or so on this account just chuckling to myself at the funny way the aliens speak but yeah, it’s really cute.
