Everyday Makeup Products

Of course we all know that the best makeup a woman can wear is a kind soul and a warm smile. But a lil’ makeup really does bring out the natural beauty in a woman. It’s also really entertaining to play with.

Makeup is art and even tho most of us are stuck in our homes, putting on a bit (or a lot) of makeup can lift our spirits and make us feel less claustrophobic.

I figured it’d be nice to dedicate this blog post to beauty. These products are things I have been using almost every time I’ve done my makeup for the past couple of months.

NYX “Can’t Stop Won’t Stop” concealer

(Before applying any sort of makeup product on my face, I apply my favorite hydrator. This helps my makeup last longer and helps my skin mesh the products together in a way that looks more natural while also hydrating my skin.)

Next is concealer. As you can tell, this concealer is very pale (and the tone color is literally Pale lol) and although I am a fairly pale skinned person myself, this color is a lot whiter. I got it in this tone because frankly, I wanted to try out this concealer and this was the only light one available at Walmart.

However, although it’s very white, it actually brightens up my complexion very nicely. This concealer has excellent coverage and you only need a drop of product to cover the desired area under your eyes, forehead, nose, wherever.

Lately I’ve been switching up my makeup routine. I’ve been applying concealer first and then foundation. I discovered this neat little trick on social media and I gotta tell you, I has definitely changed the makeup game to me.

It makes everything look a lot more natural and it’s honestly just really nice and it doesn’t feel like you have concealer simply sitting on top of your foundation.

Maybelline “Dream BB Pure 8-IN-1 Beauty Balm Skin Clearing Perfector” (AKA tinted moisterizer)

I absolutely loooooove this tinted moisterizer. It’s incredibly lightweight, medium sheer tint and has a lot of skin care benefits.

If I’m in a rush and don’t have the time to do a lot of makeup, I simply apply this product with my fingers and gently massage it into my face. Then I apply translucent powder (which I’ll talk about in a moment) to my under-eyes and my eyelids.

Whenever I remove my makeup after using this tinted moisturizer, my face feels incredibly soft. This product is perfect for days when you don’t want heavy, glam makeup. As mentioned before, on days where I do have the time, I’ll apply this after I blend in my concealer and the results are very pretty.

Maybelline “Fit me!” Loose Finishing Powder in the shade 10/Fair Light

After applying concealer and my tinted moisturizer, I use this loose finishing powder by Maybelline. I used to use the Air Spun loose powder but didn’t like the smell and how it made my skin look a bit dusty.

Thankfully one of my closest friends recommended this powder to me and I am absolutely in love with it. The packaging is very simple and cute and the product doesn’t even smell like anything in particular.

I truly enjoy how pleasant this powder feels on my skin, how it helps put the liquid-y products together and seals it to show a nice glow.

Tarte “High-performance naturals” palette

After I finishing that, I move on to eyeshadow. This small palette is honestly one of my favorites since it’s absolutely perfect for everyday looks. It also comes with a blush in the perfect coral shade.

If you’re like me and are a fan of neutral, earth toned colors, this palette is perfect for you. Before this whole mess started, I would also use these eyeshadows everyday when going to college. I highly recommend it.

The shimmery gold shade is also gorgeous for those days where you want to do a little glam look and shake it up a bit.

L’Oreal Infallible “The Super Slim” Liquid Eyeliner (in black/noir)

When I’m done doing my eyeshadow, sometimes I’ll use this eyeliner to add the finishing touch to my eyes. To be honest, I learned how to do winged eyeliner thanks to this product.

Unlike other eyeliners I’ve used, this one’s brush is rigid and sharp, allowing you to use the shape of the brush to create the perfect winged eyeliner. It’s thick at the bottom and gets thinner towards the tip.

I’ll usually press the brush in a diagonal position so I can get the angle I want for the look I’m trying to create. And when it dries, it turns matte.

Maybelline “The Colossal Big Shot Volum’ Express” Mascara (in black) and the L.A. Girl Brow Pomade (in the shade soft brown)

On to mascara and brow pomade which are the last products I use for my eye makeup before moving on to the rest of my face. I found this brow pomade in a flea market last year and it’s literally lasted me forever.

When I first started learning about makeup, I used to use brown eyeshadow to fill in my eyebrows. With that being said, if you don’t have a brow pomade or pencil, just find an eyeshadow that matches closest to the colors of you eyebrows and that should do the trick as well.

I’ve seen a lot of people loving this mascara as well. It gives my lashes incredible volume without getting all clumpy and messy. Maybelline is one of my favorite affordable makeup brands in case you noticed. Everything is in a good price range if you’re trying to avoid spending too much money and their products are of excellent quality.

Physicians Formula “Butter Bronzer” (Murumuru)

You guys know how much I love coconut scented things well, surprise surprise, here’s another one. Although this bronzer is a bit pricey, it’s one of my favorite products of all time. (You can tell since I’ve already hit pan with this one *sad face*).

This bronzer smells like coconut and blends like a dream. In order to give myself a nice and evenly bronzed look, I apply this product gently beneath my cheekbones and on my forehead. And, for good measure, I also use this bronzer to slim down my nose as if it were a contour.

This particular bronzer has a slight glimmery look but whenever I apply it, I never notice it because it’s so subtle. I recommend this product all the time to my friends because I just love it that much.

The best part is, just like 90% of the products I’ve mentioned, you can find it in your local CVS or Walgreens in the makeup aisle.

Milani Baked Bronzer (in the shade soleil)

Although this is a baked bronzer, I like to use it as a blush, especially after days when I’ve been in the sun getting a bit tanned so I can get a bronzer glow.

I’m constantly switching between this one and the coral blush from the Tarte eyeshadow palette I mentioned before. This blush is more orange-y and is very shimmery. It’s especially perfect for more tanned skin tones.

e.l.f. Highlighter (in the shade Moonlight Pearls)

Next is everyone’s favorite part that unleashes our inner diva: highlighter. This highlighter is really good to achieve that dewy look that’s so in style right now.

The only negative thing about this product is that you have to rub your fan brush (or whichever one you use to apply highlighter) a few times in order to truly get the product on your skin.

Nonetheless, this highlighter is awesome and very cheap. Sometimes to have quality product, you don’t necessarily need to buy expensive things. Researching and knowing how to shop helps a lot.

e.l.f. Lip Lacquer (in the shade Fantasy)

And to finish off my everyday look, I use this luscious peach colored lip gloss. It’s consistency is not too sticky and it’s the perfect sheer tint. What I like most about this lipgloss is how shiny it is, which makes it perfect for mixing it with different lipsticks to give you that wet look.

It’s very lightweight as well, so it doesn’t feel like you have 5 pounds of product on your lips lol. What I’ve been doing lately is just mixing two lipsticks together to get the perfect nude pink tone that I want & finishing it off by adding this gloss on top. 10/10 recommend you to try it out at least once!

What’re your favorite makeup products that you’ve been using lately?

Take care loves and stay at home!
